What is a Health Club?

A health club, while similar to a fitness center, possesses many amenities that allow its visitors to experience more than just exercise or weight training. Health clubs often include aerobic classes, swimming lessons, steam rooms, yoga classes, and other healthy alternatives to the traditional exercise equipment and weight training provided by a fitness center.

Classes provided at a health club usually require an additional fee depending on the class and required facilities or equipment. Fees may also be charged for personal trainers and more individualized training.
